Hi Alice, I feel like a make-up virgin. I haven't worn make up for years (just a little mascara and a little lipstick--very rarely). Do women still wear foundation, blush and then "set" it all with loose powder? I've just turned 45 and feel like brightening myself up a bit. Where should I start? I am considering booking a make over, to buy new cosmetics and get advise on how to apply makeup. i am 50 years old and thinking of going to either MAC or Bobbi Brown, at Harvey Nics in Leeds. Is this a good move or could you recommend something better, another brand or store. I am looking for foundation eyes lips and blusher!!I chose MAC because it is middle of the road prices and seems to be recommended a lot.
I like Mac eyeliners but not shadows. Bobbi for eyeshadows and Clinique. Prescriptives for foundation (custom made)Try them both and then decide!
