I have to arrange a lunch for 9 people in early December, but all the nicer restaurants in central london seem to be booked up or not be able to cater for a party that size. What do you advise?

Try Le Cercle just behind Sloane Sqaure. they have a fantastic private room that overlooks the main restaurant and the food is fabulous.
