I have size 8/9 feet and it's a nightmare, I agree. Evans do a good range and come up wider, so I often only need an 8. Online there is vivaladiva.com, which has some beautiful shoes, and you can search by size. There is also shoetaylor.com, which is better for more practical styles. Fortunately high street shops are wising up, and I spotted an Accessorize pair in size 9 online today. That's how I shop. I check for sizes online first, because often shops say "tell me which one you like and I'll go see if we do it in your size," which is hopeless. I didn't know about Topshop's size 9s and will now go and look, but Next have done them for a while in some styles.

On the high street Aldo do a lot of styles up to a size 9 as do Topshop who also have a good website for shoe shopping. There's also tallgirls.co.uk who specialise in big feet and Long Tall Sally (who have a few shops but also do mail order) who've started to expand into a shoe range over the last year.
