My dark circles which seemed to appear out of nowhere but have improved considerably after using Strivectin eye cream. It hasn't got rid of them totally, but I am now able to conceal what's left with a dab of makeup.

Dark rings can also be a sign of a food allergy - when I eat cheese or gluten - i look like I've done ten rounds with mike tyson - do you have any gut problems as well - bloating, IBS etc. Bad guts can show under the eyes.

I hope this helps! I had septorhinoplasty just before Xmas. Since the surgery I have had trouble concealing the remains of my black eyes & my skin has lost it's elasticity (I'm 42)! By accident i discovered Clarins instant light eye perfecting base. I use it as a concealer not as a base and it works better than YSL Touche Eclat!!

Dark circles are a v individual thing and if you've tried all the various 'lifestyle' remedies (see below, I've copied over the advice I gave to Kelli a few days ago)then I can see you might want to do something more drastic but you are TOO YOUNG to consider any "work" and anyway, you can't do anything surgically for under-eye circles since the problem is usually a loss of volume, in the form of fat, rather than excess skin.
The one new thing that CAN be done for under-eye circles is to inject a hyaluronic-acid gel filler like Restylane along the inside of the rim of the eye-socket (yes, eek, it's a delicate area and it needs a delicate hand, and your eyes will look bruised and baggy for a week or two afterwards before you see the real results), but if done by an expert, this "tear-trough" procedure can give the eye area a boost and make you look much less tired.
Re diet - eating badly, along with drinking too much alcohol and not getting enough sleep, certainly make dark circles worse, so eating more fresh veg and fruit, and drinking more water is always a good idea. Sometimes dark circles can mean that you're a bit anaemic (your GP can do a basic blood test to check) but it may just be a genetic thing, in which case it's just bad luck and you need to hide the evidence.
