Your high colouring is caused by the dilation of blood vessels in your skin, and this can be triggered by a number of things, ranging from alcohol and spicy food to stress and even exercise. Synchrorose skincare is a four-step regime that helps soothe any existing problems whilst also raising your tolerance to the various triggers. Used twice a day, the Cleanser, Toner, Intensive Treatment and Preventative Creams, will visibly reduce any blotchiness in just 10 days. The system costs £69.95, order online at www.skinmed.co.uk.
To desensitise your skin, invest in Dermalogica Climate Control in winter and their Barrier Repair moisturiser in the summer. The first helps support your skin's natural lipid film, providing protection from harsh winter weather, while the second is a waterless moisturiser packed with shea butter and Vitamin C that acts as a humectant keeping water in and enviromental agressors out.
When it comes to make-up, go for matte formulas that will stay put during a flush - many women swear by Boots No 7 Shine Free Make-up Base as a priming product followed by By Terry Perfecting Powder Light Diffusing Reviver, £48 for colour blended with anti-ageing and protective tea-extracts.
