Be very careful with the eyelash stimulating products - two (Jan Marini and Revitalash) have been seized because they contain bimatoprost, a drug (see here for more info: http://thebeautybrains.com/2007/11/21/jan-marini-product-seized-by-us-marshals/

Surely your best option for a short term fix is to get a beautician to apply some individual false lashes to cover the gap? I have not tried them myself, but believe they last a few weeks - but check they won't prevent regrowth!

There is a cream called Talika (try a google search) which claims to encourage eyelash growth - I have tried it, it takes a while but seems to work, unless the lashes were going to grow back anyway. I use eyelash curlers as well but try to not use waterproof mascara anymore and now moisturise my lashes at night. hope this helps

Go easy on the curling? I would suspect that, more than the waterproof mascara (though you do usually have to rub a bit to get that off, don't you?) If you're feeling rich, there are a couple of products that will help boost eyelash growth -- Dermalash (01306 886 425) and Revitalash -- but they both cost nearly £100 and you need to use them every night with dedication. And give your eyelashes a chance to grow back properly before you attack them with the curlers again.
