You could be allergic to the sulphites in red wine - they occur naturally, as they do in many foods, but some red wines have heightened levels and can cause an averse reaction. Sulphur allergies are also linked to families with history of asthma etc. they're often not strictly allergies, but 'adverse food reactions'... google it or ask a nutritionist for more advice.
